For those of you with your loved ones in mind or those who just want a piece of Florence to take home with them and cherish forever, there are many typically Florentine souvenirs available in both a variety of different shops and in many of the markets.

One of the main items available here is Leather. You can find Leather items such as gloves, handbags, clothing and shoes, all at reasonable prices and of a high quality. There is also another product for your travelling experience, a waterproof spray for shoes.

Many of the regions here in Italy have their own specialised glassware and Florence, Tuscany is no exception. The glassware here is inspired by the past and can be located in a variety of different shops within the City Centre.

Embroidered Goods
The embroidered goods here in Florence are all handmade giving the items extra authenticity. Many of them are available at the markets, but occasionally you will find little shops selling the embroidered goods too.

There are a range of small shops in Florence selling local traditional food, like pasta, oil, wine, cakes and bread. However, you can always buy fresh produce from the food San Lorenzo Mercato Centrale which is open from 09:00 to 14:00 and also between 16:30 to 19:30 on Saturdays, except in August.

For the more practical minded amongst you (or those who have simply forgotten to bring one the many holiday essentials!), we have provided a list of supermarkets below, along with the street names they are located on.
